There was a brief silence in the air. Jiang Ying turned her head to look at the lazy, flirtatious man beside her.
Their eyes met. Zhou Yi’s gaze held a faint smirk, while Jiang Ying’s expression remained indifferent.
“I don’t,” she said calmly. “I have no such needs.”
With that, Jiang Ying stepped ahead of Zhou Yi toward the villa.
Zhou Yi watched her graceful figure and the smile on his lips deepened.
Although Jiang Ying entered the villa before Zhou Yi, when she reached the doorway, she deliberately slowed her pace so they could walk in together.
They were a married couple—even if they couldn’t act deeply in love, at the very least, they should appear respectful toward each other.
Jiang Ying and Zhou Yi entered the house side by side. As soon as they stepped into the living room, a purple clay teacup came flying at them.
Zhou Yi reached out and pulled Jiang Ying behind him to shield her.
The teacup struck his shirt collar, then slid down his body and fell to the floor.
The cup had hot tea in it, and Zhou Yi had just come in from outside. Steam rose from the tea-soaked shirt.
Seeing this, Jiang Ying pursed her lips and tried to step out to check on him, but Zhou Yi held her back.
“You little bastard,” the old man scolded. “All you do is mess around. Can’t you do anything right?”
“A few days ago, there was gossip about you and that young model from Fashion Weekly. Now today, there’s another story about you getting caught by entertainment reporters with the company’s rising star. Can’t you give me some peace of mind?”
Old Master Zhou was seventy-two years old, but thanks to excellent upkeep, he looked no more than his early fifties.
He sat sternly on the sofa, face full of rage.
Zhou Yi loosened two buttons on his shirt collar and smiled lazily.
“How am I not letting you rest easy? I just signed that overseas acquisition deal for you yesterday.”
Hearing that, Old Master Zhou’s anger visibly lessened.
He gave Zhou Yi a sideways glance and tapped his cane.
“Come over here. Let me see if you’re burned.”
Seeing the old man soften, Zhou Yi let go of Jiang Ying’s hand and strode over.
“Grandpa, who tattled on me again?”
Old Master Zhou spoiled Zhou Yi. Over the years, he had turned a blind eye to most of his scandals.
Even when there was punishment, it was mostly for show.
Once Zhou Yi sat down, the old man gave him another sideways glance.
“You’re not a child anymore. Start acting responsibly. Stop giving people leverage over you.”
Then he looked at Jiang Ying.
“You handled today’s situation well.”
“Thank you, Grandpa,” Jiang Ying replied.

Old Master Zhou continued, “Ying Ying, you and Zhou Yi aren’t getting any younger. Don’t focus all your energy on work. Spend more time at home. Hopefully next year, I can hold a great-grandchild.”
Jiang Ying maintained a polite smile, though it didn’t reach her eyes.
“Alright.”
After standing for a while in the living room, Jiang Ying took the initiative to go help in the kitchen.
Seeing her leave, Old Master Zhou turned to Zhou Yi with a stern face.
“What’s your attitude toward Ying Ying, really? If you truly don’t like her, just give her a settlement and part ways peacefully. That girl grew up before my eyes. If you keep treating her like this…”
Before the old man could finish, Zhou Yi sprawled out on the sofa, popped a grape into his mouth, and lazily asked,
“Grandpa, do you prefer boys or girls?”
Old Master Zhou was taken aback, momentarily confused. Then his face lit up with a smile.
“Changed your mind? Planning to have a child with Ying Ying?”
Zhou Yi stretched his legs and said casually, “Sure.”
