In the coffee shop, Gu Xiaoliang and Fan Wenjing were playing with a few months old kitten using a bouncing ball.

The kitten's head bobbed up and down with the bouncing ball, occasionally treating it as prey to pounce on, filled with innocence.

The two children were laughing happily. While playing, Gu Xiaoliang kept scratching his groin with his right hand, a detail noticed by Li Xueli.

Li Xueli approached and asked, "Xiaoliang, do you need to go to the bathroom?"

Gu Xiaoliang nodded, and Li Xueli said, "I'll take you."

The coffee shop's restroom was on the second floor. Li Xueli held Gu Xiaoliang's hand and walked upstairs via the wooden staircase.

The restroom consisted of two individual unisex rooms. Gu Xiaoliang entered one without closing the door, pulled down his pants to his knees, and started urinating, typical behavior for a young boy.

Li Xueli waited outside the door. After Gu Xiaoliang finished, she helped him pull up his pants and then taught him to wash his hands with soap and dry them with paper towels.

At this moment, there was no one else on the second floor. Li Xueli suddenly realized that it was a rare occasion for her to be alone with Gu Xiaoliang.

"Xiaoliang, would you like some ice cream?" Li Xueli crouched down and asked.

The young boy nodded hesitantly.

"Alright, Auntie has a few questions for you. Is that okay?"

Gu Xiaoliang didn't seem very enthusiastic, but perhaps thinking about the ice cream, he didn't refuse.

"First question: During the day, we have the sun, but what's in the sky at night?"

"Grandma Moon," Gu Xiaoliang replied, a standard answer found in almost all children's books.

"Correct! Xiaoliang is very smart." Li Xueli ruffled the boy's hair. "Second question: Apple, banana, chocolate, pineapple—out of these four things, which one is not a fruit?"

"Chocolate!" Gu Xiaoliang answered instantly.

Li Xueli pretended to be surprised. "You know that too? It seems Auntie needs to make the next question a bit harder. Um... Third question: What's the difference between mommy and daddy?"

Gu Xiaoliang thought for a moment. "Mommy is a girl, and daddy is a boy."

"Wow, Xiaoliang is so smart! Auntie will ask the last question, and if you get it right, I'll buy you ice cream immediately, okay?"

Gu Xiaoliang nodded with interest, a smile on his face.

"Fourth question: The daddy you have now is not your real daddy, right?"

Gu Xiaoliang was taken aback, and the smile on his face gradually faded, replaced by a fearful expression. He shook his head in resistance and then turned to run downstairs.

Li Xueli grabbed the boy, her face still wearing a friendly expression, but her questions had become sharper: "Okay, let Auntie ask a different question: What did your mommy do to your daddy?"

Gu Xiaoliang screamed in alarm, and Li Xueli panicked, afraid to continue. She immediately comforted him, saying, "Alright, alright, Auntie won't ask anymore. Don't be scared, Xiaoliang. Let's go buy ice cream now. Don't tell your mommy and daddy that Auntie asked you these questions, okay?"

Before she could finish her sentence, Gu Xiaoliang suddenly shook off Li Xueli's hand and rushed downstairs on his own. Li Xueli was startled and hurried to chase after him. The sight of this made Xia Qi and the others, who had witnessed the scene, freeze in shock. Fan Lin stood up and asked, "What happened?"

Gu Xiaoliang ran straight to the door and hugged his mother's waist as soon as he saw his parents. Su Xiaotong was surprised and asked, "Xiaoliang, what's wrong?" She then saw Li Xueli rushing out of breath.

"What is this...?" Gu Lei asked.

Li Xueli looked embarrassed. "The child...probably missed you."

Su Xiaotong crouched down and looked at her son, asking, "Is that right, Xiaoliang?"

Li Xueli anxiously watched Gu Xiaoliang, fearing he would reveal what had just happened. Fortunately, Gu Xiaoliang didn't speak, and in Su Xiaotong's eyes, his silence meant agreement.

"We rarely leave him alone like this; he might not be used to it," Su Xiaotong said as she patted her son's head.

"Yeah...that's right," Li Xueli quickly changed the subject. "Just now, Xiaoliang and Wenjing were playing with the little orange cat. It was so cute. I took a video; would you like to see it?"

"Of course."

"Then sit down and watch it..." Su Xiaotong and Gu Lei returned to their seats to watch the video that Li Xueli had recorded.

Fan Wenjing found a new way to play with the cat, and she called Gu Xiaoliang over to join. The young boy was once again engrossed in playing, seemingly forgetting what had happened earlier. Li Xueli, who had seen this scene, let out a sigh of relief in her heart.
