"Is this a movie set?"

Witnessing Wang Lin land unscathed, the crowd around him opened their mouths in astonishment, unable to believe what they saw.

"Where's the wirework?"

"Is this a stunt?"

Ignoring the crowd's murmurs, Wang Lin quickly left the scene while sorting through the new memories flooding his mind.

"The legacy of Immortal Emperor Wang Xuan?"

"The long path to immortality? Methods for transcendence?"

"The Thunderbolt Needle technique?"

"Alchemy, array formations..."

"And my injuries—they're all healed?" Only then did Wang Lin realize that his physical injuries had healed entirely. He could also feel that the cancer cells inside him were wholly eradicated. He felt full of energy and noticed that his hearing and vision had enhanced tenfold, even allowing him to see a flying insect flapping its wings ten meters away.

"Is this all real?" Wang Lin found it hard to believe but grew excited at the thought of the skills and methods in his memories.

He sneered, "Hmph! Qin Xue, Yang Yang, you both will regret this!"

"Grandpa, wake up..."

"Somebody help, please!"

Just as Wang Lin was contemplating how to avenge the humiliation brought by Qin Xue and Yang Yang, he heard cries for help and followed the crowd running toward the source.

When he arrived, he saw a teenage girl, about sixteen or seventeen, sitting on the ground, crying out loud. In front of her lay an elderly man in his seventies, dressed in an expensive suit. He was convulsing on the ground, with dark red blood oozing from the corner of his mouth.

Wang Lin furrowed his brows; he had already diagnosed the issue.

Although he had never studied medicine, he immediately recognized that the elderly man was poisoned with a complex mix of toxins that would take time to manifest. Someone close to the man had plotted against him.

This realization made Wang Lin even more confident that he had inherited the Immortal Emperor's legacy; otherwise, he wouldn't be able to ascertain so much with just a glance.

As he pondered how to intervene, a solution appeared in his mind. With the situation being urgent, Wang Lin swiftly approached the elderly man.

Gently lifting him, Wang Lin placed his palm on the man's back. Following the techniques that flashed through his mind, he felt a warm flow of energy rise from his lower abdomen.

This energy flowed through his palm into the old man's body, gathering the toxins inside. With a little force, a spurt of toxin-laden blood ejected from the man's mouth.

"What are you doing?"

This happened so quickly that the young girl only reacted when she saw her grandfather spit blood. She immediately shouted, "Do you know who my grandfather is? You made him spit blood!"

"If anything happens to him, you won't be able to bear the consequences!"

"I'm trying to save your grandfather..." Wang Lin began, but the girl cut him off.

"Are you a doctor?"

"No, but—"

"If you're not a doctor, what qualifies you to intervene? I think you're trying to harm him," she said, pulling Wang Lin away and helping her grandfather lie down.

"Young lady, you should call your family. We'll call an ambulance for you," a concerned bystander said.

"Young man, if you're not a doctor, don't make a scene. This could get complicated," a bystander cautioned.

Upon hearing this, the girl remembered to call her family and immediately dialed a number. At the same time, the kind-hearted older woman called for an ambulance.

Feeling somewhat embarrassed after being scolded by both, Wang Lin thought about leaving to pursue his vendetta against Qin Xue and Yang Yang. However, considering the toxins hadn't been entirely removed from the elderly man's system, he spoke up:

"Your grandfather has been poisoned, and it's a complex mix of toxins that would take a long time to show symptoms. Be cautious around people you know."

"Also, only the person who poisoned him would have the antidote, making it nearly impossible for anyone else to treat him—except for me."
