Wang Lin spoke calmly, "In the legacy of the Immortal Emperor, only the Nine Needles of Ghost Valley are suitable. There are more potent techniques like the Fu Xi Divine Needle and the Tribulation Crossing Divine Needle, but Hong Shiwen's body cannot handle them."

"Nine Needles of Ghost Valley?"

Sun Zaizhong was so stunned upon hearing about the Nine Needles of Ghost Valley that he was at a loss for words. After a moment, he collected himself and asked excitedly, "Young man, do you know how to use the Nine Needles of Ghost Valley?"

"If it is indeed the Nine Needles of Ghost Valley, then there's a chance we could cure Elder Hong!" Sun Zaizhong exclaimed.

As soon as Sun Zaizhong spoke, the members of the Hong family seemed to see a glimmer of hope and became visibly excited. "Elder Sun, are you sure about this?"

"Yes, although I've only heard of it and never seen it in action. The literature states that the Nine Needles of Ghost Valley have the power to manipulate the natural order. Once all nine needles are applied, they can resurrect the dead and regenerate flesh and bone!"

"If it truly is the Nine Needles of Ghost Valley, then we can save Elder Hong!" Sun Zaizhong spoke passionately.

Wang Lin was somewhat surprised. He hadn't expected Sun Zaizhong to know about the Nine Needles of Ghost Valley; he initially thought the older man was a more skilled doctor.

"Elder Sun, you've only heard of this Ghost Valley Nine Needles but never seen it. How can you be sure this young man knows what he's talking about?"

"Maybe he just heard the name somewhere," Hong Quan once again jeered.

For some reason, Wang Lin felt an intense hatred from Hong Quan.

"You seem quite opposed to me curing this elderly gentleman," Wang Lin said, looking at Hong Quan. "Could it be that you were the one who poisoned him?"

"What are you talking about? That's my father! How could I possibly poison him?" Hong Quan's face immediately changed at Wang Lin's accusation, and he rushed to explain.

"I'm just concerned for my father's safety. Do you, a young novice, really have better medical skills than Elder Sun, the President of the Chinese Medical Association?"

"I don't know if my skills are superior to his, but I know I am the only one who can save your father right now," Wang Lin replied calmly. The ongoing obstruction was quickly wearing on his patience.

Had it not been for Hong Ying's plea, he would have already walked away.

"Fine, if you say you can cure him, let's put it in writing. If you succeed, my family will gift you a villa," Hong Quan stated sternly.

"However, if you fail, you'll accompany my father to the grave!"

"Agreed," Wang Lin answered without hesitation. He was confident he could cure Hong Quan's father, and the villa offer was too good to pass up.

Shortly after, the contract was drafted. Wang Lin glanced at it and saw that the villa was located in Tiantong Estate, one of the best villa districts in Luo City.

After signing the contract, Wang Lin couldn't help but smile. Now that he had inherited the Immortal Emperor's legacy, he knew he couldn't return to his dormitory. He had been worried about finding a place to live, and now someone was offering him a villa on a silver platter.

"Could everyone please leave the room? I'm going to start the acupuncture treatment on the elderly gentleman," Wang Lin said calmly. With so many people in the operating room, it would be impossible to perform the procedure effectively.

In truth, the primary reason was that he had never administered acupuncture before; he only knew the technique theoretically. He feared that a crowd would affect his concentration.

"That's not acceptable. We need to watch you work; otherwise, who knows what you might do," Hong Quan said, his face turning grim.

"Alright then, you can leave three people in the room, but the rest will have to leave," Wang Lin conceded after some thought, realizing this compromise put both sides at ease.

"Young man, may I stay and observe?" Sun Zaizhong whispered, not wanting to miss an opportunity to witness this legendary technique.

"Of course, as I said, three people can stay."

Wang Lin understood Sun Zaizhong's intent—learning the Guigu Nine Needles technique. He didn't mind teaching it to him; after all, the method was meant to save lives.

Soon, the silver needles were ready. The operating room was now occupied only by Hong Quan, Hong Lin, and Sun Zaizhong, while Hong Ying and the others left.

After sterilizing the silver needles, Wang Lin picked one up and swiftly inserted it into a specific acupoint on Hong Shiwen's body.

Fast, precise, and steady!

Sun Zaizhong watched in admiration, silently committing the needle technique to memory.

No sooner had the first needle entered than Wang Lin picked up the second one, inserting it into another acupoint with the same rapidity, precision, and steadiness.

Soon after the ninth needle was inserted, Hong Shiwen's body began to change.

His skin started turning red, and something appeared to be moving underneath it, congregating toward his arm.

The movement accelerated; within minutes, Hong Shiwen's arm had turned entirely black.

"Knife, place warm water under his arm!" Wang Lin shouted.

Upon hearing Wang Lin's command, Sun Zaizhong carried a basin of warm water and placed it under Hong Shiwen's arm, then handed a surgical knife to Wang Lin.

Taking the knife, Wang Lin made a slight incision on Hong Shiwen's arm. Immediately, a jet of black blood spurted out and landed in the basin below.

The moment the blood hit the water, the basin began to boil, causing Hong Lin and the others to shudder.

Once all the black blood was drained, Wang Lin gently wiped the wound, which miraculously healed instantaneously.

Furthermore, Wang Lin channeled pure spiritual energy into Hong Shiwen's body, repairing his internal injuries.

"All the toxins have been expelled; you can check him now," Wang Lin said calmly as he retrieved the silver needles.
