With a sharp slap, Wang Lin showed no fear in the face of Owen's threat.

"This is Xia Country, not your Leopard Country," he growled.

"Believe it or not, I can end you right here, right now!"

"You dare? I'm here for a medical exchange at the invitation of the President of the Hua Medical Association! If you lay a hand on me, neither the association nor the Saler Team will let you off the hook," Owen retorted, bewildered.

He led the world-renowned Saler Team, and wherever they went, they were treated like stars and respected. He had been personally invited to Xia Country by the President of the Hua Medical Association.

Usually accompanied by association members for protection, Owen had thought he'd be safe at Hong's mansion and had come alone. To his astonishment, he encountered Wang Lin.

Another resounding slap landed on Owen's face.

"So what if you're invited?" Wang Lin sneered,

"Threatening me is grounds enough to kill you."

With that, Wang Lin landed a powerful palm strike on Owen's chest, sending him flying backward to crash heavily onto the ground, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.

Wang Lin could easily have killed him with that blow, but considering Owen was a guest of the Hua Medical Association, he held back to avoid causing them any difficulty.

Seeing Wang Lin's dominance, Mok ceased his shouts and staggered over to Owen.

"Let's go, Owen," he whispered hoarsely,

"A wise man knows when to retreat."

"Go find the President of the Hua Medical Association and have him deal with this punk!" Owen coughed up blood, spat it on the ground, and then, leaning on Mok, exited.

Zhao Guowu and Li Yunlin, witnessing the turn of events, also took their leave, but not before shooting Wang Lin a hateful glare.

As they left, Hong Shiwen looked worried.

"Mr. Wang, you've struck them; there's sure to be repercussions. Be careful."

"No need to worry; they're just a bunch of clowns," Wang Lin replied coolly.

"If they want revenge, let them come. I doubt they can handle the consequences."

Seeing Wang Lin's lack of concern, Hong Shiwen said nothing more. At that moment, Hong Ying entered the room with hot water and silver needles.

"Master, I've prepared what you asked for."

"Set it aside for now," Wang Lin said, hesitating before adding,

"Mr. Hong, there's something I'm not sure I should ask."

"If there's anything you wish to know, feel free to ask. I'll share what I can," Hong Shiwen responded.

"Has the Hong family offended someone? And someone who knows Daoist arts at that?" Wang Lin asked gravely.

Upon hearing Wang Lin's words, Hong Shiwen and the others furrowed their brows, deep in thought. Despite their pondering, they couldn't recall offending anyone.

"Mr. Wang, I've lived my life honestly and fairly. To my knowledge, I've never offended anyone, let alone someone versed in Daoist arts," Hong Shiwen finally said.

Seeing Hong Shiwen's sincere expression, Wang Lin voiced his confusion,

"Then it's rather strange. First, you were poisoned, and then your grandson fell victim to a curse."

"Moreover, your family's mansion is influenced by a Daoist formation. If you continue to live here, within a decade, your family will undoubtedly face ruin and death."

"Such extreme measures imply more than just a minor grudge; they suggest someone wants to annihilate you."

"Are you certain of this, Mr. Wang?" Hong Lin cautiously inquired, "Is someone acting against our family in secret?"

"From what I see, yes, it seems that way," Wang Lin said, unperturbed.

"So, you might want to think carefully about whether you've offended anyone."
