"Enough about that for now. Let me treat him," Wang Lin changed the subject, walking to the bedside. He gently turned Hong Tao onto his stomach, making him lie face down.

After disinfecting a silver needle, Wang Lin precisely inserted it into an acupoint on Hong Tao's back. As the needle penetrated the skin, he channeled spiritual energy into Hong Tao's body.

Knowing that Hong Tao couldn't withstand the potent Gui Gu Nine Needles technique, Wang Lin decided to employ the Reviving Triple Needles combined with his spiritual power to repair the damaged body.

With a swift motion, two more needles dropped, each accompanied by a burst of spiritual energy, rejuvenating Hong Tao's battered physique.

Approximately the time it took to brew a cup of tea passed, and visible changes started appearing in Hong Tao. His skin regained its color, no longer as pale as before.

Seeing this, Wang Lin removed the needles and turned Hong Tao back onto his back.

With another swift motion, a needle plunged in. Hong Tao's body quivered, his face contorted in pain. This time, Wang Lin had employed the Gui Gu Nine Needles technique.

"Mr. Wang, is Tao going to be alright?" Hong Shiwen looked at his grandson with concern.

"Don't worry, he'll be fine soon," Wang Lin reassured, quickly inserting three more needles.

As the fourth needle descended, a small bump appeared on Hong Tao's abdomen, as if something was moving within. Observing this, Wang Lin swiftly inserted three more needles. This time, the bump became transparent, allowing everyone to see a white worm-like creature inside.

"This is the parasite that's been plaguing him. We just need to force it out, and he'll be fine," Wang Lin explained.

While speaking, he inserted the last two needles into Hong Tao's body. As they settled, changes swept through Hong Tao. His shriveled skin gradually regained its healthy glow, and the worm thrashed violently beneath it, desperate to escape.

Seizing the moment, Wang Lin took another silver needle and pinned the worm to Hong Tao's abdomen. Then, forming his fingers into a blade, he made a small incision and gently squeezed the creature out.

"This is the root of your son's ailment," Wang Lin said, placing the worm in front of Hong Lin. "However, we'll need it to cure your son."

Staring at the two-centimeter-long parasite, Hong Lin's emotions churned. He had heard tales of such creatures, rumored to be the dark arts of certain ethnic groups in remote mountains. He had never imagined someone would use such a thing on his son.

"Master, can this worm save someone?" Hong Ying asked, her admiration for Wang Lin growing by the minute.

"It can only save your brother," Wang Lin responded nonchalantly. "Now, bring over the hot water."

Obediently, Hong Ying brought the hot water and set it in front of Wang Lin. "Master, what will you do next?"

"Just watch closely," Wang Lin instructed.

Wang Lin gently pinched the worm, causing it to burst instantly and fall into the hot water. As the parasite dissolved, the water began to boil, and its color gradually turned milky white.

The spectacle left everyone stunned. Hong Lin asked, "Mr. Wang, what is happening here?"

Seeing the confused looks on everyone's faces, Wang Lin explained, "This parasite has been draining Hong Tao's vital energy, leaving him in this emaciated state. I've released the absorbed energy back into this hot water. He just needs to drink a bowl of it, and he should be fully recovered within a week."

"Mr. Wang, you have my deepest gratitude," said Hong Shiwen as he looked at his son lying peacefully on the bed. "I had offered a billion to anyone who could cure Tao, but no one could even diagnose him. Now that you've healed him, that billion will be transferred to your account."

Hearing the figure—a billion—Wang Lin was taken aback. "That's incredibly generous," he thought to himself. A smile broke out on his face; he had been fretting over how to raise capital for his company, and now fortune had landed in his lap.

After some polite refusals, Wang Lin finally accepted the billion. In the spirit of reciprocity, he decided to help the Hong family with another pressing issue they faced.
