After a round of introductions, Yun Qingqiao, who had an exceptional memory, quickly got to know all these aunts, nieces, and nephews.

The arrogant woman from earlier was her second aunt, Zou Xiuli. Aunt Zou had two daughters; the elder, Yun Qiyu, was already married. The young woman who resembled Zou somewhat was Yun Qifei, known as the second most beautiful woman in the capital.

After glancing at this so-called beauty, Qingqiao thought to herself: 'Beautiful, sure, but soulless. She's just a pretty but dull girl with some intelligence.'

The obsequious middle-aged man was Wang Fugui, the chief steward of the house. Seeing him standing beside Aunt Zou, Qingqiao had a hunch he was on Zou's side.

Her third aunt, Yu Wanrou, lived up to her name, displaying a gentle and soft demeanor. She had a son and a daughter, both of whom were married. Her son, Yun Yongfeng, looked like a classic scholar: handsome and dignified. His wife was said to be ill and couldn't attend. Third Aunt Yu's daughter, Yun Qidan, was absent since she married.

Thanks to the steward Wang's introduction, Qingqiao learned that her fourth aunt, Liu Qinxin, had passed away years ago. Her son, Yun Yongyuan, was a cultured and well-mannered young man.

Qingqiao respectfully greeted her two elder brothers: "It's good to see you, eldest brother, second brother."

Yun Yongfeng responded with a polite nod and a slight smile.

In contrast, Yun Yongyuan bowed and said, "Fifth sister is so courteous."

His slight bow allowed strands of his jet-black hair to fall, creating an ethereal and elegant impression. However, it also emphasized the unnatural pallor of his face, making him appear frail but not weak.

On the side, her fifth aunt, Lin Yiqiu, appeared to be casually sipping her tea but was closely watching Qingqiao's every move. Lin was the latest addition to the house. She was fairly attractive and wore heavy makeup, but her eyes flickered with cunning and malice.

Yun Qingqiao thought she must have misread the situation, but when she looked again, she noticed a stark clarity in Fifth Aunt Lin's eyes. Realizing how cunning this woman must be, Qingqiao knew she needed to be cautious around her.

Fifth Aunt Lin had just one daughter, Yun Qirong, the young woman holding Qingqiao's arm earlier. Known as the most talented lady in the capital, Qirong was only pretty, not a head-turner. She had a penchant for playing the innocent, always donning white dresses, which gave her a unique charm.

However, compared to Qingqiao, who was also in white today, there was no contest. If Qingqiao looked like a celestial being with her veil, then Qirong seemed merely like a speck of dust on Earth. The gap was enormous.

After a few exchanges, Qingqiao understood that none of these women were pushovers. Thankfully, she had been well-trained in manners and etiquette by her maternal grandmother, who had forced her to learn from her socially polished aunt from a young age. Today, that training was finally paying off.

Second Aunt Zou and Fifth Aunt Lin grew anxious upon seeing Qingqiao's poise and grace, which could rival royalty. They couldn't help but worry that this young woman might outshine their daughters.

Third, Aunt Yu, on the other hand, thought Qingqiao's demeanor was exactly what you'd expect from a legitimate daughter of the Prime Minister's household.

After all the introductions, Qingqiao couldn't help but marvel at her father's prolific ability to produce offspring. Including her, he had eight children.

Unlike in the Ye family of Chuzhou, where males and females were collectively numbered, the Yun family separated the count by gender. Qingqiao was her father Yun Xiuwen's eighth child but ranked fifth among his daughters. Thus, she was referred to as the Fifth Young Miss in the household and was the only legitimate daughter.
