CHAPTER 37 - LEAVE IT TO ME
"Sir, I'll make sure she's properly disciplined later. Now, about this transaction...?"
Wu Qing's tone was tinged with embarrassment. She knew customers like Wang Lin, who could casually spend millions on luxury cars, were not to be offended.
"Now, who do you think should get the credit for this sale?" Wang Lin asked coldly.
He was moments away from walking out if Zhou Ru hadn't apologized.
"Of course, it should go to Li Na. I'll handle the paperwork myself. Does that work for you?" Wu Qing offered with a smile.
Wang Lin didn’t leave, which was a relief to Wu Qing. As for who got the sale, it didn't matter much to her as the manager since she would get a commission either way.
"That's fine. Let's sign the contract," Wang Lin said indifferently.
Soon, the contract was signed, and Wang Lin had paid.
"Can I take the car now?"
"Sir, there are some procedures for vehicle pickup. It should be ready by noon tomorrow," Wu Qing informed him.

"Fine, once it's ready, please deliver it to Villa No. 9, Tiantong Estate," Wang Lin instructed, surprising Wu Qing and the others.
Tiantong Estate was a top-tier villa community; they had not expected the plainly dressed Wang Lin to be so well-off.
Wu Qing felt a strong urge to reprimand Zhou Ru harshly. Zhou Ru's behavior had almost cost them such a significant customer. She planned to deal with Zhou Ru sternly later.
"Of course, sir. I'll personally deliver it tomorrow," Wu Qing said, her tone now bordering on fawning, even harboring other thoughts.
After leaving the luxury car dealership, Wang Lin took a taxi home. Since the villa community didn't allow taxis inside, he had to get off at the gate and walk the rest of the way.
Just as he entered, a van sped out of the estate, nearly hitting someone and drawing angry shouts from passersby.
Passing by Villa No. 10, Wang Lin heard a faint cry for help from the third floor. His heightened hearing picked up the sound that would have gone unnoticed by most.
Glancing at the locked front gate of Villa No. 10, he shook his head and started to walk away. But then, another cry for help, followed by the sound of something breaking, stopped him in his tracks.
Unable to ignore it any longer, Wang Lin lightly jumped over the fence and quickly made his way into the villa, heading straight for the third floor.
On reaching the second floor, he slowed down to avoid making noise and stealthily approached the staircase leading to the third floor.
In the living room, he saw two women, looking like housemaids, tied up. In front of them, two masked men wielding metal pipes were brutally assaulting a young woman.

"Tell us the password to the safe!" one of the assailants demanded, kicking the woman viciously in the abdomen.
The woman screamed in pain, curling up from the blow. "I... I don't know," she gasped out weakly.
Unsatisfied, the man kicked her again, this time in the back.
Hidden in the shadows, Wang Lin couldn't watch any longer. In a few swift movements, he appeared behind the assailants and knocked them out with precise strikes.
Seeing Wang Lin, one of the maids, her eyes filled with relief, exclaimed, "Sir, please, save Miss Yun! If you can bring her back safely, we'll pay you five million as a reward!"
Hearing the mention of a five million reward, Wang Lin was momentarily tempted. Considering she was also his neighbor, he decided to help.
"When did this happen?"
"About ten minutes ago," the maid replied.
"Ten minutes ago? Was it that van?" Wang Lin recalled the van he had seen rushing out of the estate upon his arrival.
"I see. Leave it to me. I'll find the kidnappers and bring back your Miss Yun," Wang Lin assured them confidently.
