CHAPTER 41 - THE YUN FAMILY
Upon hearing the shouts, Yun Hong and the others hurried outside just in time to see Yun Qiao leading Wang Lin into the courtyard.
"Qiao'er, my dear girl, are you alright?" a middle-aged woman, tears in her eyes, rushed over and embraced Yun Qiao tightly. It was Yun Qiao's mother, Li Yueling.
"Mom, I'm fine. It was Wang Lin who saved me," Yun Qiao gently reassured her mother, feeling the depth of her mother's love and the soft touch of her embrace.
In truth, Yun Hong and Li Yueling's marriage had been strained for some time, living separately for a while. Li Yueling worked in Hengcheng and would occasionally return to see Yun Qiao.

As Yun Hong rose to leave, Li Yueling stopped him.
"You know the Yang family's power. It's enough that Qiao'er is safe. Don't make things worse."
"If we provoke the Yang family, all the business you've worked so hard to build will be ruined!"
Realizing the gravity of the situation, Yun Hong sat down, frustrated. His daughter had nearly been violated, and he felt helpless and angered as a father.
"The Yang family has indeed gone too far," Wang Lin interjected calmly.
"Don't worry, they will be dealt with."
"Has the Yang family offended you as well, Mr. Wang?" Yun Hong asked, recalling Yun Qiao's account of her rescue.

"We've had some disagreements," Wang Lin said calmly, sipping his tea. He had planned to deal with the Yang family slowly, but now he felt the need to expedite their downfall to prevent further harm.
"May I ask, Mr. Wang, which family do you belong to?" Li Yueling inquired, curious if Wang Lin had the means to stand against the Yang family.
"If your family can counter the Yangs, even just hold their ground, I'm willing to take a stand with you, for my daughter's sake!"
"I don't have any family backing," Wang Lin stated plainly, noticing Li Yueling's intent.
Li Yueling appeared slightly embarrassed, having assumed Wang Lin was from a prominent family.
"Mr. Wang, no matter what, you saved Qiao'er, and we owe you our gratitude," Yun Hong spoke up.
"Tonight at eight, I'll host a dinner in your honor at Hongxuan Restaurant. Please, do not decline."
"Mr. Wang, here is the five million I promised you," Yun Qiao said, handing over a check. Wang Lin accepted it graciously.
"I'll be there. Tonight marks the beginning of the Yang family's end," Wang Lin declared before leaving.
