"Yoo-kun, have you noticed?"

Gently opened my eyes to a familiar room ceiling. Then, my worried aunt's face appeared.

"Wait... I..."

As I tried to get up, I felt a dull pain in my temple area. Aunt slowly helped me lie down.

"Do you remember what happened yesterday?"

Aunt confirmed that my fever had significantly subsided by touching my forehead, and she asked with a relieved expression.

Then, I realized that my memory had stopped at the levee yesterday.

I wondered how I had made it back to this place.

I remembered that the rain had stopped, and the sun's rays were shining through.

Middle school student Nakata found me collapsed at the levee, and then, Iwao and Takahashi brought me here.

The names of those three people, which I hadn't imagined, made me jump up again and fall back on the bed.

Kurumi, Rio, and Takumi, three of them, had helped me. The fact slowly filled my heart with a warm feeling.

We may have felt disconnected, but our hearts were still connected. We all shared the same feelings.

With a sigh of relief, I felt something welling up inside me. When I lifted the towel to my nose, the doorbell rang.

"Hey, friends!"

From the lower floor, a loud voice with a bell sounded.

It's probably Nakata and the others. They said they'd drop by after school yesterday.

Is it okay for them to come up?

I had no choice but to nod. My head was a mess, and to be honest, it was still difficult to sit up.

Still, I wanted to see everyone's faces, and I wanted to thank them in person.

"Excuse us!"

With a gentle smile, my aunt left, and Kurumi and the others entered the room.

Kurumi, who looked a bit hesitant and lost, was cute, and I couldn't help but smile.

Though my temple throbbed again, it was okay to make me laugh in times like this.

"Yoo, has your fever gone down?"

"You're amazing for getting better in just one day."

"Next time, you'll have to treat us to ice pops. You were pretty heavy yesterday."

The three of them entered and spoke on their own. It was as if we had no conflicts at all, and for a moment, I thought I might be dreaming.

But even if I pinched my cheeks, it hurt, and if I flicked my forehead, I didn't wake up.

"...What are you doing?"

I couldn't help but laugh at the puzzled expressions of the three.

I'd felt like I had forgotten everything, but...

Well, I don't know what the body will do when it's not at its best.

Do you remember anything?

In an innocent voice, Kurumi looked at me, calling me 'Yoo.' She had the same eyes as before I lost my memories.

Yoo, you still have a fever, don't you?

It's something people say when they're delirious with fever.

To the amazement of Rio and Takumi's words, I felt like I was caught in a difficult situation. Even though they knew that Kurumi had lost her memory due to the accident.

However, they said something even more surprising.

It's been raining a lot lately, so the rainy season might start soon. This summer is going to be hot.

Even though they say there's no summer vacation for high school students, we still want to do something summer-like. At least a summer festival.

Our summer was supposed to be over. We had a school closing ceremony, and summer vacation began just like that. During that time, we didn't meet at all.

We hadn't even gone to the summer festival as the new semester started, and Kurumi...

That's when I finally noticed something odd.

Kurumi and the others found me? Kurumi protected that cat? She had forgotten everything, but did she ask Rio and Takumi to bring me here?

Kurumi... Have you remembered?

Kurumi had, indeed, called me 'Yoo.' The Kurumi I remembered well before I lost my memories was sitting in front of me.

Kurumi, haven't you...

Now, that is truly astounding. Kurumi not only remembered but also regained her memories.

When I looked at her in astonishment, she simply smiled warmly and said...

Oh, Yoo... I remember everything. I remember you, our friends, everything.

"Whether I'm sleeping, awake, or even standing on my head, it was undoubtedly June. Even when I went to school, my homeroom teacher would consistently say things like, 'The mock exam in July is crucial, so make sure to study well,' or 'Don't go overboard during the summer vacation.'

Every morning, I would check the newspaper's date, but it was still June, despite the fact it should have already passed. The news anchor on TV would solemnly announce, 'The Japan Meteorological Agency has declared the start of the rainy season.'

The high school's final summer, which I should have already experienced, was approaching once again.

"What's going on here..."

Trying to maintain composure, I was living through the second June. One afternoon, I decided to visit the library. There were about five books stacked in front of me. However, no matter how much I read such books, understanding what had happened to me proved to be quite challenging.

"These are some pretty difficult books you're reading."

In the library, where there shouldn't have been anyone, a voice spoke to me. I let out a pathetic "Eh?" and then, I realized that the voice belonged to Ms. Takano. In a wave of relief and déjà vu, I couldn't help but smile.

"Ms. Takano, when did you...?"

Today, when I came here, the librarian's seat was supposed to be empty, and there shouldn't have been anyone in the library. However, Ms. Takano said, "It's rare for someone to know me," and laughed. I suddenly covered my mouth.

That's right, the first time I met Ms. Takano was in the autumn when Kurumi had forgotten me. So, this June before that is when I hadn't yet met Ms. Takano.

"Well, with this hair, I guess it's pretty distinctive."

Ms. Takano seemed to have little doubt about my words. After all, she was a school staff member, so it wouldn't be surprising for her to be known by name.

Ms. Takano naturally sat in the seat across from me, just like before, and traced the spines of the stacked books with her finger.

"Hmm, 'History of Time Travelers,' 'How to Rewind Time,' 'The Principles of Time Slips,' and more."

The last time I met Ms. Takano, the books I had stacked were related to memories. This time, however, all the books, including the titles she mentioned, were about manipulating time.

"If you could go to any era, past or future, which one would you choose?"

Ms. Takano directed such a question at me. Perhaps she thought I had some concern since I was struggling with my head buried in these books. But rather than directly trying to inquire, she asked questions that could help me face myself.

"I'd like to go to the past and redo things I regret."

I immediately replied, and Ms. Takano raised an interested eyebrow.

"I think if I could correct past mistakes and wrongdoings, the future could also head in a better direction. Because the past, the present, and the future are all connected. So, if there's a chance to redo things..."

By verbalizing it, I felt several of my doubts slipping away. It was a similar feeling to what I had experienced at Takumi's house.

I see, so that's how it was. This is what they call a "gut feeling."

"I will create miracles. I will save important people and protect my cherished friends. I will change even the cruel destiny."
