"Heh? Then, by all means, Wang, show us this extravagant gift of yours," Yang Yang said with a cold smirk. Though he knew he couldn't beat Wang Lin physically, he was confident that Wang Lin's gift would be nothing compared to his own.
Wang Lin sensed Yang Yang's skepticism. With a smile, he pulled out a small, dark wooden box and placed it before Yang Yang. "This is my gift—The Marrow-Cleansing Pill," he announced, opening the box to reveal a single black pill.

The crowd laughed at the sight of the humble wooden box and the term 'Marrow-Cleansing Pill,' which sounded like something out of a fantasy novel.

"Don't be so harsh; maybe it's a mystical Marrow-Cleansing Pill from the realm of immortals!" more laughs erupted.
Yang Yang joined in, "Come on, Wang Lin. People are giving gifts worth millions, and you bring a lousy pill? That's not how you embarrass yourself!"

Her words sent ripples through the crowd. Her grandpa was none other than the patriarch of the Hong family, the most influential man in the city. And he wanted to thank Wang Lin? The crowd couldn't fathom the implications.
"Let's not rush. Today is your birthday, so happy birthday! Here's my gift for you." Wang Lin closed the wooden box and handed it to Hong Ying.
The crowd's expressions turned strange again. They wanted to laugh but didn't dare.

"You should go to your room before the pill takes effect," Wang Lin advised. He hadn't expected Hong Ying to take the pill without hesitating.
"Huh? Why?" She wanted to ask more but started to feel warm, so she quickly dashed to the second floor.
