Leaving the hospital, Wang Lin arrived on Chaoyang Road, known as the street of clinics. Traditional Chinese medicine, Western medicine, shamanic healing, and even Ratopian blood therapy—every type was available here.

After taking a stroll, Wang Lin stopped at a traditional Chinese medicine clinic with a "For Sale" sign on its door. He walked in.

The space was modest, barely over 50 square meters. Inside was a slender middle-aged man who seemed half-asleep at the counter. He didn't even notice Wang Lin entering.

"Hello? Anyone here?"

Wang Lin knocked on the counter and called out, but the man remained unmoved.

"Hey, Boss!"

Wang Lin raised his voice, finally getting the man to lift his head. Looking at Wang Lin, he asked irritably,

"What do you want?"

"You're selling this clinic?" Wang Lin inquired.

He had noticed that despite its small size, the place was well-stocked with herbs. Buying it would save him the hassle of sourcing supplies.

"Yeah, interested?"

"Definitely. Just wondering, what's your asking price?"

"The price is negotiable; let's sit down and talk," the man said, finally coming out from behind the counter and offering Wang Lin a stool.

"Let me introduce myself. I'm Xie San. What should I call you?"

"Just Wang Lin is fine."

"So, Xie, how much are you asking for this place?" Wang Lin asked again.

"The market price is 1.5 million. But if you're serious about buying, I can give you a 15% discount," Xie San said with a smile.

For a space of just over 50 square meters in a prime location, 1.5 million was a steal.

Wang Lin didn't hesitate.

"Sounds good to me. I can pay right now. Also, are you selling the herbs?"

Hearing Wang Lin's interest in the herbs, Xie San's eyes lit up. It had been hard to sell them, and keeping them didn't make much sense either. This was a welcome surprise.

"You're in luck. I spent over 2 million on those herbs initially. But for you, I'll include them for 1.5 million," Xie San said, excitedly.

"I'll give you 3 million, and we'll leave everything as is. Can you also handle the transfer paperwork?" Wang Lin offered without missing a beat.

"You're straightforward, Mr. Wang. I'll sort out the paperwork by tomorrow," Xie San agreed.

"But there's the matter of the deposit..." Xie San said, rubbing his hands together, looking a bit awkward.

"Give me your account number; I'll transfer the deposit now. Do you have a contract?" Wang Lin asked, eager to wrap things up.

In no time, they had signed the contract, and Wang Lin had transferred a deposit of 300,000,000.

"Excuse me, is this place up for sale?"

Just as Wang Lin was about to leave, a gruff voice rang out, and three burly men walked in. Wang Lin's gut told him—these guys meant trouble.

"Sorry, but the place has already been sold," Xie San said, forcing a smile.

"What? It's been sold?"

"Who gave you permission to sell it?" The leader of the group shouted, slamming his fist into the wooden counter, leaving a deep dent.
