CHAPTER 12 - BIG MISUNDERSTANDING
“Raccoon is a mammal of the genus Raccoon, the order Felidae and family of Canidae. It is classified as a rare animal as it is only found in a very small area. They are omnivorous and they do not hunt.”
"I see. A raccoon, huh?"
"That's right. It's a canine, so it's understandable that you're wrong."
"Raccoon"
Sango picked up the raccoon dog and looked into its face.
Sharp, round eyes and a swollen body. It had soft fur and a thick tail.
Sango was thrilled that there were such cute creatures in the world.
“Let me just say that raccoon dogs are not pet animals.''
"Oh, really? It's so cute that it makes me tremble?"
"Is it cute?"
"It is cute"
"They're omnivores, so their meat tastes bad and their fur stinks. They're certainly not profitable creatures for humans."
“That assessment is pitiful.”
"It's not my personal evaluation. It's Tanuki's evaluation from the general public's point of view."
“If there is someone who likes to keep them, then they must be very eccentric.”
Sango was given a bad name in an indirect way, but she didn't notice.
"Well, that's fine. First, if anyone from Peony Palace knows about this, and disseminate the information to the circular board…"
Hongyu ordered her to bring paper and a brush from his office.
Using the brush, Hongyu wrote carefully and in flowing motions.
Protecting a young raccoon dog in the west colonnade. The owner was named.
"Why do I have to tell you something stupid like this?"
“I would like a picture of a raccoon dog as well, please.”
"Huh?"
"It's not cute, it's easier to understand."
“You can draw it.”
Sango was given a brush by Hongyu, so she drew a raccoon dog on another piece of paper.
Although she tried her best to draw seriously, she was hopelessly bad at drawing.
“How is it?”
"It’s so bad that I'm dying"
Sango didn't understand the meaning of the words so she asked Konkon.
“Eh, uh, yeah, um, you say it’s an original painting.”
"I see"
She remembered that a long time ago, a painter who frequented her house told her that she had no talent for drawing. She thought that Hongyu gently pointed it out to me so as not to hurt my feelings. He was also a kind person.
He didn't think her drawing would convey the message, so she asked him to draw the raccoon dog again.
Hongyu received a sparkling gaze. He let out a deep sigh as he smoothly slid his brush across the paper.
In just a few seconds, he created a perfect raccoon dog.
"Wow, that's amazing. You're amazing. That's what you are."
Hongyu looked dumbfounded for a moment at Sango's comment, but he quickly came back to his senses and wordlessly handed her a picture of a raccoon dog and a notice.
She thanked him, took it, and handed it to Konkon. She told her to circulate it to the circular board of the Ministry of the Interior.
With Hongyu and Konkon gone, Sango let out a sigh of relief, knowing that she had managed to get through the day.
She felt that her language skills had improved. That was because of what she had learned.
Her pronunciation was still questionable, but she managed to get through it with the help of Konkon's translator. She thought before that her peaceful days would be delayed.
After that, Sango finished her dinner, took a bath and headed to the sleeping area.
The bedroom was empty. Same as the living room.
Only the raccoon dog who was at home in the room, came to greet her with a thump and a cry.
She picked up the raccoon dog and rested her cheek against its warm, fluffy fur.
She gave him a bath and washed him earlier, so that its fur would be more fluffy and shiny.
The raccoon dog didn't seem to know where Hongyu was.
He was probably working in the office, or he must have been summoned to Queen Hoshi's sleeping quarters.

Sango became embarrassed thinking about that.
She used to take such classes from a private tutor, but that was already ten years ago.
Because of the tattoo on her back, which her mother said was a scar, she thought she would never get married. So she pushed those things to the back of her mind.
The inner palace where the king's wives lived, the palace where the four wives and the men gathered from all over the country to give them children lived.
She understood the purpose well.
However, she imagined when Hongyu was drawing the picture of the raccoon dog. Despite being two or three years younger than her, that he could hardly be called a young man, doing something like that, she felt an indescribable feeling.
She shook her head to the side and drove away the thoughts.
Hongyu's absence was a good thing for Sango.
She would feel free while sleeping in the night, she wouldn't feel vulnerable. She would feel safer in many ways, sleeping alone.
The raccoon dog cried plaintively. Sango chuckled and gently picked him up.
"Let's sleep together today. It'll be warmer that way."
The raccoon dog swung its tail and crawled into Hongyu's futon. Sango also lay down and covered herself with a futon.
She couldn't sleep well today.
She must have been asleep for about an hour. Halfway through her sleep, she heard the door opening and woke up.
When Sango opened her eyes, she noticed that Hongyu had returned, but she was unable to get up because she was wearing only her nightgown and she was not wearing any underwear.
"What, are you awake?"
"Hongyu, have you finished working? Thank you for your hard work. Well, you were surprisingly quick."
Hirou asked what happened so quickly.
He was so embarrassed that he couldn't say that he was probably working hard at Princess Hoshi's.
“Were you working harder than usual?”
"I-I see. I'm sorry."
Sango covered her head with the futon and hid her agitation.
On the other hand, Hongyu rolled up the futon while tilting his head, but...
The raccoon dog was sleeping soundly on Hongyu's futon with his belly facing up.
There was no sign of it waking up, and he was asleep, breathing heavily.

"You, raccoon...why are you sleeping here?"
Sango was reaching out to roughly grab the raccoon dog, so he hurriedly pulled the raccoon dog to her futon.
"Were you the one who brought the raccoon dog into the futon?"
"Yes. Is there any problem?"
“Um, don't you know I will come back today? Did you expect me to work all night?"
"Sorry, I don't know."
Hongyu looked irritated and checked to see if there was any raccoon hair that had fallen onto the futon.
He was also checking to see if it smelled like an animal.
"It's okay, I washed the raccoon thoroughly. There's no animal odor and it's clean."
There was no loose hair on the futon, and there was no animal odor.
Hongyu snorted and lay down.
Sango hugged the raccoon dog to her chest and crawled into the futon.
"I'll make sure you remember it too."
"Oh, no. Why do you think you came here?"
"Are you going to teach me?"
"Who else is here besides me?"
Sango was shocked when Hongyu told her that he would teach him how men and women behave at night.
She never thought in her wildest dreams that she would be ordered to do something like that.
"I-Is there anything I can help you with?"
"A lot"
“A lot?"
Sango hugged the raccoon dog tightly as she was terrified.
"It's not like I'm going to ask you to do something difficult from the beginning. I'll start by teaching you something easy."
"Simple things?"
Sango wondered if there were things that were difficult and things that were easy to sleep at night. Sango tried to remember what she had learned in her childhood. But she said she would only give herself to the man who would become her husband. She didn't know anything concrete.
"What up?"
"No, I don't have any knowledge or experience, so I'm not confident."
"Everyone is like that at first. They make mistakes and gain experience."
“Konkon has a lot of experience, don't you?”
"It's not like I had a lot of it, but when I was an attaché, I used to do it every day with my superiors."
"Every day with your boss?"
“Is your boss a man or a woman?”
“What do you think? I was also concerned about that.”
“What is the concept of chastity among the people of Karetsu? There were so many things I didn't understand.”
Sango's head was in a state of confusion and she couldn't understand anything.
However, Sango was sentenced to palace punishment.
Just being alive was like a miracle.
"Hey"
"Yes?"
"You'll remember it only after you memorize the words."
“Y-yeah, that’s right.”
It would take a while before she would know the Fuchu Jutsu.
Sango was relieved to find out that's true.
She decided to forget about it until she was given the role.
It was not until some time later that it was discovered that Sango had made a huge misunderstanding regarding the matter.
Needless to say, Hongyu was furious.
